Growing up, I did not imagine how my wedding day would pan out by thinking about the gown I would wear, the people I would invite, and so forth. Instead, I imagined owning a business! I even drew on a white poster board my idea for a mall and wrote a script for a talk show!
In grade school, I was asked by the teacher what I wanted to be when I grew up! I said, 'I want to be a flower girl and sell flowers!' When I was in the sixth grade, I was into fashion and was designing clothes...just drawings on paper. By the time I was in high school, a girl wanted one of my drawings to she could give it to someone in order for them to make the dress. Unfortunately, when I told her I'll sell her the drawing for $50.00 she no longer wanted my design! Go figure!
I'm giving you this back story because, while I always knew that I wanted to be a C.E.O., I had no clue that I would own an online business and, more importantly, I'm still amazed by the sequence of events that led me to start my business, The Violet Sanctuary Spa.
Btw, I still have the drawings of the clothing designs!
As I discuss in my upcoming book, To Be Goddess: Every Woman Is A Goddess; Discover The Domain In Which You Reign Supreme, The Violet Sanctuary Spa is what I created as a direct result of the deaths of both my grandparents (They died roughly a year and a half from each other) and my two-year healing process.
Each of the women I'm about to present to you in this blog post has helped me on such a great level that I have to share their incredible works with you. They have helped me various ways from emotional healing to growing spiritually to perfecting my business and my message of living a holistic life aimed at coaching and promoting one's inner and outer spiritual growth.

What can I say?! I just adore Colette! I've been following her since the very beginning when she traveled with Sylvia Browne. I actually saw Colette when she came to Philadelphia and she went on stage before Sylvia. My best-friend and I just loved her! Colette's book, Messages From Spirit, was the first book I read when I began my healing process after the deaths of my grandparents. Her work truly resonated with me and I was uber grateful to have purchased her book.

Thank GOD (and the angels) for Ms. Virtue! I just crave her work! Whatever she releases, I want it! I have so many of her books that I can start a library! I have so many of her oracle card decks that I can open a shop! Why? Because Doreen told me via her books exactly what I have been seeing all these years and never knew what they were called...angels! Doreen provided names and descriptions for the 'characters' I've seen in my dreams...goddesses and fairies. Doreen reminded me exactly who I am... a Mystic Angel (For a better understanding of Mystic Angel, please see my earlier blog by clicking here). Four of my angel stories have been published in her amazing books!
I thank God for Doreen and her works on a daily basis. She really propelled me regarding seeking knowledge about esoteric information and other divine beings. A Year of Color Therapy truly helped me to look within myself to discover (and rediscover) aspects of myself that I have buried and neglected.

When I discovered Leonie, I realized that this signified the time when I was ready to step into my personal power and begin to build my online empire (Well it's a baby empire right now since The Violet Sanctuary Spa is a three year old business!) Leonie reminded me that it's okay to be a gorgeous goddess with holistic services/products and asked to be compensated aka paid $$$!
Connecting with Leonie and her tribe of goddesses has reminded me to remain true to myself throughout my business ventures. Leonie helped me to hone in on what I want from my company and where I would like to see my company grow. I took several of her online courses and I'm a member of her tribe! The community of amazing women and the self discovery that takes place is almost indescribable...that's just how amazing of a sacred space Leonie has created online!

The wonderful world of crystals and the science behind the wonderful gems! I discovered Stephanie through Leonie Dawson! I love crystals and always imagined myself working with them, so when I discovered Hibiscus Moon you can just imagine the excitement I felt! Stephanie is a wonderful teacher and her bubbly personality makes the process of learning about crystals even better. Don't be fooled by the 'sparkly name', I learned some hard core facts about crystals!
Stephanie has an online certification course in which one, upon passing, can become a Certified Crystal Healer (CCH). The online community is also wonderful at the Crystal Cave! Her Sparkle Engineer, Dawn is just as wonderful! I had the honor of writing a guest blog on the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy website. I'm proud to say that I am a Hibiscus Moon Certified Crystal Healer. I practicing crystal healing and developing ways to further incorporate it into my business. And....then turning point! By the time I discovered Amy, I already had several certifications and my confidence level in my abilities were growing. However, I still required more direction and a better understanding of 'social media'. I had my Facebook page, Twitter account, Pinterest boards, LinkedIn account, and the list goes on, but I knew that there had to be a better way to grab these social media outlets by the horns and own 'em! The Universe heard my request and delivered the amazing Amy Porterfield!
Social Media can be overwhelming. I spend countless hours learning how to become efficient in the social media world. Amy has managed to make it simple by providing her wonderful webinars and helping me (and fellow business owners) on her Facebook page and Facebook group. OMG I cannot believe how fortunate I am to be part of your tribe!' Yeah, that's more like it! Amy Porterfield suggested to her Facebook followers to sign up for B-School (The 'B' stands for business), which is taught by the wonderful Marie Forleo! B-School is an online training program in which Marie equips entrepreneurs with a 'can do', everything is 'figureoutable', attitude in addition to providing very valuable and highly detailed information on how to build a unique profit brand and so much more!
I highly recommend entrepreneurs to enroll in B-School! I just adore Marie's personality, the community of B-Schoolers is amazing, and she has MarieTV! Since taking B-School, I've notice loads of great changes with my business and with myself. For example, my newsletter subscribers has increased wonderfully, I've made some amazing connections with the people from the B-School community (some of which have been guests on my radio show), I've become more consistent in my work, and improved my content.
After graduating from B-School, the community of B-Schoolers are still there ready, willing, and able to help a fellow entrepreneur! There's always work to be done and improvements to be made! Reading, Your Ultimate Life Plan reminded me of just that. I'm a fast reader and can absorb knowledge quickly. However, I slowed down my reading because I'm writing notes and placing tabs throughout the book! 1. Visit www.socialexaminer.com that website will give you LOADS of info about ideas for your blog
2. Develop a schedule and stick to it! I post every Monday, but I was so excited to post this one that I did it on Sunday.
3. Always, always, write from the heart. Don't get caught up on wondering if you made all the correct grammar. Just write first and edit later!
