As a reformed I must get the perfect gift kind of person, I've been reading about what gifts make the best gifts and what I found was astonishing!
The gift that keeps on giving is the ideal gift. A gift that can be used repeatedly and still provide happiness. We purchase a gift,
wrap it, add a bow, and become thrilled at the thought of gift
receiver's reaction on Christmas Day!
However, there is one gift in particular that is felt on all levels, such as emotionally and spiritually, and it keeps on giving!
THE GIFT OF GRATITUDE
Gratitude is the best attitude. Sounds familiar? I know! But, there's truth to that saying! I saw a video (Click on below picture), which was done by the amazing people at SoulPancake, that proves one of the best gifts you can give anyone is gratitude. By giving the 'gift' of gratitude, we add happiness in our life and in the lives of others. Expressing just how much someone means to us is a gift that the receiver will never forget and will be eternally grateful!
How will you give the gift of gratitude throughout the holiday season?!
What does gratitude mean to you? Like the participants in the video above, you can show your gratitude by telling that person. Maybe gratitude to you means writing a song, buying a trinket, or cooking dinner for that someone special. The key here is the symbolic nature of the gift, the TLC (Tender, loving, care) that is expressed through the gift and felt by the receiver. It's an instant mood booster!
"Whoever is happy will make others happy too."
-Anne Frank
DON'T FORGET ABOUT YOU! BE HAPPY!
Need some inspiration? Watch Pharrell's video below! I was definitely feeling the happiness after watching the video. There's something about seeing people smile and dance without regard that just raises my spirits! Can you name one thing, person, or place that makes you happy?!
Gratitude can lead to happiness and happiness can lead to gratitude. By showing your gratitude, you will make someone instantly happy. By being happy, your more likely to tell people how awesome they are and how glad you are to have them in your life. Because you made at least one other person happy, that person will do the same for someone else.
So, the best gift to give this Christmas is the gift of gratitude, whether it's a charm on a bracelet, a diamond ring, or a phone call saying "I love you." Gratitude is a form of sincerity that cannot be mistaken because it comes from the heart and it's received by the heart.
How will you demonstrate gratitude right now? What can you do right now to be happy or happier? Have anything to add? Please state below so we can keep the learning experience going!
